BREDRIN FILMWORKS LIMITED AND POSITIVE STRIDES UK CHARITY LAUNCHED PROJECT POSTCODE ON 19TH NOVEMBER 2011 TO UNIVERSAL ACCLAIM.

BREDRIN FILMWORKS LIMITED AND POSITIVE STRIDES UK CHARITY LAUNCHED PROJECT POSTCODE ON 19TH NOVEMBER 2011 TO UNIVERSAL ACCLAIM.
In light of recent events regarding the social unrest among young people up and down the country, the newly formed film company BREDRIN FILMWORKS founded by Reading born Hollywood actor Winston Ellis has launched an exciting and innovative film and music initiative entitled PROJECT POSTCODE.
This project is the brainchild of award-winning writer and educational consultant Mark Straker of registered charity positivestrides.org.uk who has an extensive track record of helping disengaged young people turn their lives around. One of his previous projects - entitled PUKKA (Peer Understanding Knowing Knowledge Attitude) - reduced the crime rate on a local council estate in Hertfordshire by 18% and won awards both locally, nationally and internationally.
Project Postcode will engage, motivate and inspire young people by providing training, learning and work placements on a real feature length film. Through effective short taster workshops and master classes, young people will be trained and educated by established people within the film industry.
Project Postcode specifically targets disadvantaged young people with diverse needs such as social and economic deprivation, young people from minority ethnic backgrounds, those in danger of becoming homeless and those not in education, employment and training. These groups are often socially excluded from mainstream learning opportunities at both higher and further education institutions.
The celebrity packed event at the Shehnai in Reading, was a superb mixture of entertainment, Indian cuisine and innovative fundraising for Project Postcode.  Faith Brown, Luc Floreani, Andrew Stone, Chris Adamson, Andy Beckwith, Scott Welch, Kevin Haggarthy, Paul Canoville, Chris Kenna, Dean Smith, Jan Williams, Jason Cook, Adrian Grant, Denise Pearson, Jay Khan, Jamie Dorrington, Deepak Verma, Jonathan Renner, Luther Blisset, Matt Stirling, Damon Scott, Slivio Simac, Ganjo and Andrew Rogers were amongst celebrity guests who walked the red carpet to join some 400 VIP guests, fashion designers, local dignitaries and sports’ stars. It was attended by representatives from the national press and media including OK Magazine and The Sunday Times.
The evening’s entertainment produced by Martin Dickinson ( West End theatre artist) and compered by David Ford (Dickinson’s Real Deal) featured breathtaking performances including World Eagle Claw Chinese Dancers and the young superstars from the Guildford School of Acting. Luc Floreani wowed the crowd with his passionate support for Project Postcode and performance of the tracks from his forthcoming album.  The musical entertainment continued with superb individual performances from Andrew Stone, The Floe, Martin Dickinson, Liz Townsend and Ledfoot.  The audience was thoroughly entertained throughout the evening and was generous in their praise.
Winston Ellis, Founder of Bredrin Filmworks stated, “It was a fantastic event.  The feedback that we have received from the guests has been superb. The messages of support over the past 24 hours have been amazing and touching.  I am so proud of everyone involved. The evening was a real testament to Project Postcode in that we were able to launch it with such young budding entertainers and amazing technical crew who held their own alongside world-class celebrity artists.
Faith Brown and Luc Floreani praised Bredrin Filmworks for “delivering a great event,” and pledged their support for Project Postcode. Jamie Dorrington called the event “a great success,” and was “amazed” by the turnout. “I think we can all agree that it was a success,” stated Andy Beckwith “Project Postcode will grow from now on.”
The event had generous support from many and varied sponsors from the film, media, sport and commerce including Garry Lineker, Ford, Penta Hotel, Hug Radio, Unseen TV and London Ducktours to name but a few.  Many thanks to them all.
